Becoming the Proverbs 1-30 Man [2-4]

Hey y'all, um, first and for most I do have to apologize for taking fooorever with this post. All the excuses I have been making should be ignored, because there is no excuse.

So, this is the next installment of Becoming the Proverbs 1-30 Man. I've been reading through Proverbs and as I am, I am figuring out that even though, it is definitely not repetitive, it definitely has points that stand out. For example, listening to God and honoring parents.

So I found some great key verses in Chapters 2-4 in Proverbs!

2 v1-2 & 5-6
My son, if you accept my words
    and store up my commands within you,
turning your ear to wisdom
    and applying your heart to understanding

(5)then you will understand the fear of the Lord
    and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
    from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

2 v16 & 18-19
Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman,
    from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
(18)Surely her house leads down to death
    and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
19 None who go to her return
    or attain the paths of life.

3 v3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
    bind them around your neck,
    write them on the tablet of your heart.

3 v5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

4 v7
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
    Though it cost all you have, get understanding.

4 v23
Above all else, guard your heart,
    for everything you do flows from it.

These chapters are a little bit different from Chapter 1. In Chapter 2, it is the first time we see what type of women to stay away from, those who will lead us astray. And to the lady readers, y'all can adjust the verse to where it can be a bad guy who is going to lead you astray. So yeah, we need to stay away from those kind of people because we don't want to stumble. When you think of Proverbs, one of the most known verses is Proverbs 3:5-6, because 1, it is a great verse and 2, you can learn a lot from it. We need to trust God in all of our situations, tough or easy. We cannot rely on our own strengths, but rather we need to rely on God and he will guide us in the way we need to go. I love verse 7 of chapter 4! When I read it I thought it was so funny! The beginning of wisdom is... GET WISDOM! So I'll conclude here... for now :)

I hope you aren't too mad at me... because I am kinda mad at myself for postponing this. And again if you like this, you can hit the follow button! It is always cool to see people like my stuff!
