The Voice Season 2 Episode Recaps! Semifinals with DJ Kwokodile

Amazing mind blowing performances tonight!

Tony Lucca - How You Like Me Now [5/10] I don't understand how people like him... I don't and this song was not good at all.

Erin Willett - Without You [5/10] I really thought it was pitchy and flat... not good

Chris Mann - Ave Maria [7/10] I still don't think he is a good opera singer... but maybe only girls can do those long notes... if so, I must say I am a fan... but right now without the information, no, not that good

Jamar Rogers - If You Don't Know Me By Now [4/10] Never saw the talent in this guy, just the song Seven Nation Army.

Jermaine Paul - Open Arms [5/10] Definitely his worse song this whole journey, I actually don't like him all too much, but he is better than Erin.

Katrina Parker - Killing Me Softly With His Song [8/10] It was good, but I liked Jar of Hearts better, I like her to sing more current songs, but she did really well.

Lindsey Pavao - Skinny Love [10/10] This is the Lindsey I fell in love with from the auditions, and she did fantastic, she actually brought her powerful power! ♥ ♥ ♥!!!

Juliet Simms - It's A Man's Man's, Man's World [10/10]
Definitely never fails to amaze! So talented, but I think if Lindsey doesn't win, Juliet should take it!

Team Xtina
Chris Mann [Xtina 50 + America 54 = 104]
Lindsey Pavao [Xtina 50 + America 46 = 96]

Team Adam
Tony Lucca [Adam 60 + America 48 = 108]
Katrina Parker [Adam 40 + America 52 = 92]

Team Blake
Jermaine Paul [Blake 50 + America 73 = 123]
Erin Willett [Blake 50 + America 27 = 77]

Team Cee Lo
Juliet Simms [Cee Lo 60 + America 61 = 121]
Jamar Rogers [Cee Lo 40 + 39 = 79]

Reactions: I really hate how Lindsey didn't advance, if The Voice's prize is a record deal with no cash involved, why would America vote for an opera singer??? Seriously! Who is willing to listen to opera on their iPod? Really! Katrina murdered her song so well! Tony not so much, and if Adam split evenly, Katrina would have moved on. I liked the other decisions.

Predictions for next week: Final 2 will be Juliet and Jermaine... maybe Chris

The Voice Season 2 Episode Recaps with DJ Kwokodile [#10]

First round of the live shows were pretty exciting. There were high points and low points. I think I know who America will pick. Since there is no way to have a negative votes, I think America will vote for Lindsey and RaeLynn. I am more confident in Lindsey than RaeLynn, because it is a big America, and Charlotte Sometimes is really cranking up iTunes as well, so it is anybody's game. (Except for Erin Willett and Sera Hill)

TEAM BLAKE

1. [Livin' On a Prayer] - Jermaine Paul
Ok, I am really sorry, but Jermaine needs to stick to a certain genre. Dia was able to move around, but she incorporated her style everywhere she went. Jermaine is adapting to every genre he goes to! It was a very good performance, but he needs to get consistent followers, or else he is not going to get votes! I do not believe he will get America's vote, but I do think it is possible for him to move on.

2. [Wake Up Call] - RaeLynn
I was super surprised! I totally believed that RaeLynn wouldn't sound good at all. I think she has proven that she has serious pipes and stage presence. I also noticed that the microphone had a cord. Why would you need a  cord? I think (because I look at iTunes) that she will be saved by America.

3. [Turning Tables] - Naia Kete
I have never disliked Blake this much in my life! Telling Naia, no reggae made me really upset. Her performance was not bad, but it was not Naia! I totally agree with Christina! I wanted reggae! I do not think America will save her, but I think she might move on.

4. [Alone] - Jordis Unga
Redemption. Jordis definitely redeemed herself, her battle was awful, but her performance was spot on. I was glad to hear so much powerhouse! She is really talented, but I do not think America will move her on, but she might possibly move on.

5. [Living for the City] -  Erin Willett
I was very sad to hear that her dad passed away during her battle, but I don't know if she should have moved on. She definitely believe she has a great voice, but I find it boring, I really don't know why. I don't think she will move on.

6. [Misery Business] - Charlotte Sometimes
I was quite shocked or not shocked by this. She revealed a softer side to her voice, and I already have heard that soft side, so I wasn't that shocked. I thought it was good, but not her best. I do like her powerhouse more. Powerhouse singers just make me happy I guess. I think she will move on either by America's vote or some other way.

TEAM XTINA

1. [Bridge Over Troubled Water] - Chris Mann
I think he has an amazing classical/opera voice. He is truly talented in this area. I would like to say he doesn't need any editing to his voice, but since America is not all too in to classical, I don't think he will America's vote. I think he will still move one however.

2. [Stronger/Power] - Moses Stone
I was really pleasantly surprised by his performance, it was really good! I still have to go back to the roots of my belief of the show however, I do not believe rappers should be on the voice, yes he is talented, but I think he is done. I do not think he will move on.

3. [Somebody That I Used To Know] - Lindsey Pavao
I was so excited when I saw on iTunes that Lindsey was singing this song! I was extremely saddened by her performance however. I totally wanted the strong part, like Adam said, to be strong! It was still a good performance, and America seems to love her (well I knew they would)! 24 on iTunes chart! That is really good! I think America will move her on.

4. [Find Your Love] - Sera Hill
Totally Inappropriate. I did like the rendition, but it was terrible. I did not like it because of the male strippers. She will not move on. No further comment.

5. [Right Through You] - Ashley De La Rosa
I was super excited that Ashley had a pop rock side! I think that she shined. She had a flawless performance, and she is only 17 and she has so many dimensions to her voice! I do not think she will move on, but I know she has a bright future ahead of her.

6. [What A Wonderful World] - Jesse Campbell
Jesse never seems to fail. I love his voice, but I hate that he is on TeamXtina! Lindsey is on this team, and I would love both of them to go to the finals! I did feel like he did this song justice, but I would love a more contemporary song, because America would vote for that more. He will move on, but I do not believe from America's vote. (I was very saddened when I went on iTunes that he had already previously recorded the song! I want original songs from him, not mastered songs!)

Wow! So much talent, and I really want Lindsey, Jesse, Charlotte, and Jordis to move on! Tune in to NBC at 9/8 central for live show results! Gym Class Heroes on tonight as well in the show!

The Voice Season 2 Recaps with DJ Kwokodile [#8]

Very bad bad round, I must admit >.<

1. [You Know I'm No Good] - Pip vs. Nathan Parrett
I thought it was quite sad that BFF's were paired together, but they sounded really good together! I would have to say that Pip was a shoo in. Adam picked Pip.

2. [What's Love Got to Do With It] - Erin Martin vs. The Shields Brothers!
Wow! Worse battle so far! They sounded bad, Erin's uniqueness didn't shine in this song. The brothers were better, but were still off key. Terrible! Cee Lo picked Erin.

3. [No Air] - Ashley De La Rosa vs. Jonathas
Christina must take so much time to figure out the battle pairings and songs, since they all turn out so well, with No Air with Ashley and Jonathas, and Heart-Shaped Box with Lindsey and Lee. They were really good, but Jonathas kept to his voice, and didn't sound good. Christina picked Ashley.

4. [Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car] - Jermaine Paul vs. ALyX
They were pretty good. It was a little boring, but the vocals were there. Jermaine is very very strong, Blake picked Jermaine.

5. [Bleeding Love] - Katrina Parker vs. Angel Taylor
So sad, Angel didn't perform well because of the song. Katrina shined really bright in this song, and Adam picked her.

6. [We Belong] - Erin Willett vs. Gwen Sebastian
They were both really good, I would have gone with Gwen, but it was Blake's ultimate choice. Blake picked Erin. I actually heard that Gwen is now backgrounding for Blake in his tour, so it was a win for her, even though she lost.

Last battles next Monday!
Pairings are as following:
The LiNE vs. Moses Stone
Naia Kete vs. Jordan Rager
Justin Hopkins vs. Tony Vincent
Karla Davis vs. Orlando Napier
James Massone vs. WADE
Nicolle Galyon vs. Mathai! <-- best for last!

THE VOICE Season 2 Recaps with DJ Kwokodile [Episode 2]

So I am really loving this new series, new series meaning the new blog posts! Last night was the first official start, due to the fact that it was at a regular time and 15 auditions. My favorite so far is in this episode! Let's see if you can guess who it is!

1. [American Girl] - The Line
Wow! The first duo group! I didn't think they were outstanding and according to iTunes, not many people rated the song. They still got all 4 coaches to turn around, this is most probable, because they are the first duo, all coaches want variety in the type of kinds of music they have. The voices weren't bad so the coaches didn't hesitate. I think they should have gone with Blake, one because he turned around before the girl even started singing, and he is a country artist just like them. They ultimately picked Christina!

2. [Seven Nation Army] - Jamar Rogers
What an amazing story Jamar has! He used to be hooked to crystal meth, and now he volunteers for homeless! He is completely sober, and he has a great voice! This White Stripes rendition is great. Cee Lo was the sole coach that picked Jamar. Cee Lo was the person Jamar wanted to be mentored by. So it didn't really matter that only 1 person turned around. He got who he wanted!

3. [Stay] - Gwen Sebastian
She is one of the better country singers on this show. At first glance, she looks more rock, but she has really really good country vocals! All 3 coaches turned around for her. But because of her country roots, she picked to be on Team Blake! She has a really great voice, and the song she sang was sung perfectly! I think she will get quite far!

4. [Tell Me Something Good] - Kim Yarbrough
Wow! What a long name for a song, and what a long last name as well! She is the kinda woman who you can picture by her voice. She has a great voice, very deep, and it reminds me of last year's Frenchie Davis, but Kim has hair! Christina and Adam turned around for her. I would think she would pick Christina, but she picked Adam.

 5. [Say Aah] - Lindsey Pavao
This is my favorite so far! Her voice is very similar to Dia's and she turned an awesome rap into a awesome regular song from the alternative genre! The Trey Songz song that was a rap was arranged by her into a plain old awesome song! It was pitch perfect and had an indie touch to it! Almost all the coaches turned around, only Adam didn't. Guess that wasn't his genre! It was a tiny bit surprising that she picked Christina, but I would have surprised if she picked anyone.  I think she is the front runner for TeamXtina! She has the most downloads on iTunes and the most reviews! 5 Star rating! She is super good! and my favorite!

 6. [Complicated] - Jermaine Paul
WOW! A great great great Avril Lavigne song covered by Jermaine! He used to be a backup singer for the amazing Alicia Keys! I think he is a little bit proud. I think the 2 coaches that picked him, didn't really fit him. I think Christina and Adam should have turned instead of Cee Lo and Blake. It also was really weird that he picked Blake. Blake is country and totally not even that lenient to help a male pop star with a high voice. Great Voice, not great choices.

7. [Someone Like You] - Angel Taylor:) I love this song by ADELE, and I love it covered by Sam Tsui, and now by Angel Taylor! I think her voice has so many similarities to ADELE. It has a certain raspiness that sounds amazing. Her pitches are perfect and has such a range! I think she was the second or third best of the night. Either Angel or Jermaine were second. They were both super good. I totally expected everyone to turn around. I really thought Christina would turn around, but she didn't. A real star she is. If I were in her position, I would pick Adam, and she did! So she is a smart one. Adam was also smart to risk it by pressing his button before the chorus, because if he did. He would have a better chance to get her, and the risk paid off! Good Job TeamAdam!

I love doing this and if you like it, I would love doing more! Please comment below! Totally want to know who reads this blog!

P.S I will not be blogging about the people in the blind auditions who didn't make the cut, unless they were really really good. Sorry for any inconvenience!

P.P.S I have updated this set, so all the song names, will link to youtube and will give you the performance highlights! :)
